Yes. 8am to 2 pm. Go early because there is usually a wait time.
No
No, but if you check in they'll take your number and text you when a table is ready.
This is pretty typical for popular brunch spots and the reason Poached is popular and that we go here too often is because the food is fantastic. It’s worth the wait and the cost. They only serve espresso (or americanos if you like) so heads up, but it’s some of the best coffee in the City too. They also let you mix and match so you can try new things while still getting your staple favourite. And the menu is pretty varied. I’d try eggs Benedict with the risotto crab cake
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Love the ability to mix and match to sample a range of breakfast options.
Absolutely loved my breakfast here at Poached! I ordered the Butternut squash eggs Benedict, which blew my mind! The squash is caramelized beyond belief with red onions, bacon, and a hint of spice, and the egg on top was perfectly done. I’ve never had such a delicious eggs benny. The service here was lovely, quick, friendly and down to earth.
Nice atmosphere, delicious food, great staff. Lost a star because of how terrible the women's bathroom is! One of the stalls don't lock and the doors are almost two feet off the ground.
People say judge a breakfast restaurant by its eggs Benedict, and going by that metric Poached is an excellent restaurant. Great staff as well, and in a very chic environment. My only quarrel with my visit was that I expected given the price if the bagels, that they'd be reasonably good but they really were not. I swear they were standard hotel bagels.
Post workout I was craving a nice late breakfast meal. Although I'm sure most will agree that the portion isn't extremely abundant for what you pay, I found it to be perfectly fitting for myself. The taste and timing of the order was just right. I had the eggs benny with the butternut crunch and tomato grapes. I'll be back soon to try more items from the menu.
Might just have been the best Benny I've had in ages. Had the Classic and a coffee. Good Benny, thick back bacon slices, and noticeably amazing hollandaise sauce. The coffee came out piping hot and was a perfect cup. Delicious.
Very good menu selection not too much not too little . It's an intimate space great for dates or just with friends or solo. The staff is friendly enough. Location is pretty good. You definitely have to try the pb& j I think that's what that beverage is called
The food is awesome. Those cherry tomatoes are so good. Price a little high but does have value because the food is that good. The only problem I had is that I used to be able to get a large Americano coffee there but the last time I went they refused to serve me one in a bigger mug. Other guests there had larger mugs than me so I wasn't sure why my request was denied.
Delicious food and great customer service. Nice decor and relaxing ambiance. Reasonable prices and great location.
This is a breakfast (or brunch) that you won't soon forget! For the price of a breakfast at Denny's you can instead get a gourmet breakfast. The eggs were perfectly done - just a little runny, and the crab cakes as well - lightly crispy on the outside. The added touch of a fine slice of cheese (parmesan?) beautifully complimented the meal, along with the cherry tomatoes. This was just one item on a menu of unique and very tasty items. The service was great, the decor was amazing as well - unique chairs - as well as the brick wall on one side of the bistro just added to the ambiance. I can't say enough about this place. I will definitely be back if ever I am in Saskatoon!!!
Aft aer the first time my friend brought me to here enjoy the most special breakfast, I put this place in my recommend list. This time my parents come to visit me, I have chance to let them enjoy my favourite dish in this place We had a great meal and experience with delicious food and warm service
The staff are friendly and professional. We were sited right away but we had to wait more than half an hour to eat. My egg Benedict was cold and I didn’t realize that it doesn’t come with hash brown. The coffee was good but the cup was small and they charge $2 for refill. It get quit noisy when they grind coffee so not a very pleasant experience.
Amazing experience. Loved the food. Went there for brunch. Highly recommended.
Great coffee, service and food. Really enjoyed the breakfast plate with their bacon rolls, hash browns(battered mashed potatoe balls?... Very unique ) tomatoe salad and eggs with rye toast!
Had their eggs Benny with a shrimp and crab risotto cake. Really liked the fact I was able to swap a Benny with a side
So yummy. Hubby and I went and shared the eggs benedict on crab cakes and the cinnamon bun french toast. We we're stuffed! Didn't save even a bite. Service was great too, friendly, helpful staff.
Amazing! I had the butternut squash poached and the flavors were out of this world! The seasoning was a bit Smokey and spicy and the muffins were fresh and tasty. The hash browns were divine and I truly just wish I had more days to eat more breakfasts there! I read the service wasn’t great, but mine was top notch. Everyone that walked by offered something or asked how I was. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Excellent breakfast experience! Helpful and pleasant staff, fantastic atmosphere, and unbelievably delicious food!
A fantastic breakfast experience! Highly recommended.
Excellent food though I was not being attended for like 20 min until I called someone. The food was great. Small place to find though
Took us seven months to get back here but when I knew I was going to be back in Saskatoon I knew where I was going for breakfast! The eggs Benny with squash is to die for. Cute location, nice servers. Go early to get a good seat
Crab & shrimp cake turned into eggs benedict. I travel 10/12 months for work all over Canada. I frequent eggs benedict for weekend brunches. This is the best eggs benedict I have ever had. (Second best is Hello Toast in Kamloops, BC.) You have to try this crab shrimp cake eggs benedict. Absolutely divine. It's a symphony of every flavour and texture; height of classy brunch. Staff were also very pleasant and friendly. Cannot wait to come back.
Very small serving size for a pretty high price. I had to order more food after eating my breakfast. I had the poached eggs over hashbrowns and I expected it to be a meal but it was more like a large side. It consisted of two 1/2 cup sized hashbrown things, each with a poached egg on top, and a few cherry tomatoes. That's it. For the price, they probably could have added a couple pieces of toast, half a bagel, or something to turn this into a meal. If you have a small appetite, this will be plenty. If you have a large appetite, order additional items off of the a la carte menu to go with your meal. Good staff. Noisy room.
Be prepared to wait a long time to get in on weekends. For two people it can take 25-40+ minutes. The best time to go is weekday mornings when there isn't a line. The creamy dill hash browns are a must! If you're feeling like a treat the peanut butter hot chocolate is delicious. I've always had delicious food here!
The food is quite good, but Poached lacks decent service. Friendly, attentive and multitasking diner waitstaff would be great, as would a formally trained professional service team. What Poached has now is indicative of a staff that greatly lacks proper support from management.Pricing is also a major issue. Poached charges more than what similar establishments charge in cities with higher rent and more competition.Overall, I'd return, but only if someone else was paying, and I had the rest of the morning off.
Cute little place. Awesome service. Great breakfast options but pricey though. I would personally only reserve this place for special occasions. And people are not kidding about rush hour wait times. Will suggest to plan accordingly.
I think the food here is spectacular if you're into brunch food. It's top 3 brunch spots in the city in my opinion. Great selection of awesome dishes. The cramped seating and ambience take a bit away from it but not enough to discourage me from coming. The service is awesome. Their staff is lovely. I come here regularly and never had an issue.Only reason they're not 5 star for me is the coffee. As a brunch spot I think coffee is fundamental and unfortunately this is where they really struggle. If you're a coffee enthusiast I would highly recommend you grab a coffee elsewhere before you come here. It's not that the beans are bad either. If I may give constructive criticism to their management staff, they need to get a consultation from a proper coffee shop because their espresso based drinks need total overhaul. Everything from drink temperature, to milk steaming skills, to the cup size selection all needs to be addressed. Regardless, it's still a gem of a spot.
Timely service with a smile! This Bistro offers ambiance and personality. Oh, and do they know how to cook and serve egg dishes! Will be back.
This is an amazing brunch / breakfast spot. Total standout in Saskatoon and appearently based on the awards Saskatchewan. The food is delicious and the quality is superb. Not too pricey, unless you order like 4 cups of capuccino or Americano while having your meal. Wait staff are awesome with local recommendations for tourists and super professional. Has a distinct upscale vibe to it, but you can come in all hungover or grubbed up from hosting three days of cannabis events and they'll treat you right. A true gem in the province and could easily stand out in any big city as the place to brunch. Highly recommended!
New favorite breakfast place! Will be returning each time we come to Saskatoon. Cinnamon bun french toast was great, but the eggs Benedict was to die for!!!
Each time I return to Saskatoon for a visit Poached is a definite go to! Warm and friendly atmosphere, accommodating staff and freshly prepared meals! Never a disappointment always a satisfying experience!
Was my first visit here. I'm not sure why I haven't been sooner! With so much goodness to choose from, I settled on the Butternut Crunch Benedict. So. Good. I want it again, but I want to try everything else too! It's a small place, but not as small as you might think. Worth the wait. Staff was friendly and prices were a expected for downtown.
We enjoyed a late breakfast here. Very good service and the food was fabulous. I had my first vegan chickpea omelet and really enjoyed it.
Quick friendly service in a clean modern - long - facility. The food wasn't your typical breakfast (a little fancier) but the menu held a wide assortment of breakfast options. The price was a little higher than normal but was quit tasty. I'll be back.
Nice environment (cozy, Jazz and easy listening music, pleasant decor), good but limited breakfast selection. Good service. Tasty but on the expensive side.
This was my first time in Saskatoon , the receptionist at my hotel recommended this pace to eat , as it was close by and worth eating. The coffee , Latte and breakfast sections from the menus are all worth trying and hard to make a decision .No matter what you may select it will be worth it.The combinations of spices , herbs Along with a flair to kick up traditional eggs in any style or mouth watering full of food flavours .This place can be busy during peaks hours and on Sunday but well worth it.
Excellent service. The seafood cake was delicious. Chicken sausage tasted more like chorizo. The meal below was $15.75. Toast was extra $1.5 per piece.
Awesome pancakes! I have a good appetite and could not finish my stack...will order the smaller order next time. They were delicious and the coffee was great!
Simply amazing. Hard to spot but once you do you'll be glad you did. The food was fantastic and the service was pretty good as well. What probably really made me enjoy the experience the most was the quality of the food based on the price. Also, the atmosphere is nice with decorations and pretty fancy, laid back music. Overall it's a charming restaurant and a lovely place to eat breakfast.
Best eggs benny's in town! Food spot on service great. Always consistent! I highly recommend this place for breakfast even if it's a little pricey for a cup of coffee or the meal.
I was on a search for a new breakfast place and saw great reviews on Google. My fiance and I got here in the early morning, a bit of a wait but nothing crazy. The place is small but they made do with the area, makes it more intimate, more home-y feel. Our server was friendly and got our orders taken. I'm pretty happy with our food and drink. It is quite pricey I personally find, you are paying for quality but even so, the portion of the food is small. (Maybe scaling the plate down, so the food is front and center) Overall, we did enjoy dining here, and would be back to try out their other dishes in the future. Thanks
Innovative dishes that take risk but pay off. Delicious! We'll done.
Holy! This place was everything. Prices were not too expensive and the food was to die for. Service was perfection as well. With a name like Poached they definitely live up to cooking their eggs exactly how you want. Flavors mixed so well and finally found a place that uses dill the right way. I only wish I had this place close to home. Highly recommend.
We came to Poached honestly because it was the only place open by our hotel. I couldn't be happier with our choice! Everything from food to service to atmosphere was top notch! Best coffee, excellent waitress, even the light jazz music was perfect! Will definitely return when we visit!
Wow..I'm stunned! Great place specially felt welcome! I was greeted by a lovely hostess which made me feel sooo welcome! 👍 My waitress Erin greeted me with a huge smile a well and made me feel home right away. The food is yet to come...their menu is fantastic! My so far experience is just incredible. Strongly recommend it!
This place was great a little hard to find but worth the searching! We had a classic eggs benny, cinnamon French toast and pecan candied bacon with a peanut butter hot chocolate to drink. You need to try this place just make sure to check the time to see if it's open.
Very interesting breakfast. Nothing plain. My order was asparagus and mushrooms omlette with fetta chicken sausage. Delicious! This is between french and Italian cuisine and full bar an any time!
I was in Saskatoon for a work conference and we wanted to have a good brunch before our flight home to Vancouver. We stumbled on this gem which is fairly hidden (no big signage). We let them know we were in a bit of a rush and they were very accommodating. The americano was awesome and the food even better, they do these potato Croquettes that are insane. The decor and atmosphere is also very neat. I don’t think I’ve had a brunch quite as good in Vancouver. I highly recommend!!
I'm from Toronto, but was recently on vacation in Saskatoon and this place was recommended to me by multiple people. I ordered the peanut butter hot chocolate and the cinnamon bun french toast. Both were amazing! The quality of the food here is great, the decor is cool and the people working here are super nice. I loved this place and will definitely be back next time I'm in Saskatoon!
